Melo's Situation

With Carmelo Anthony, Nuggets' guard is currently being bombarded by the dilemma of choosing where to go...Will it be the Lakers? Nets? Knicks?

With the Lakers having allegedly offered Andrew Bynum, Lakers' center, for Carmelo Anthony in the trade, I think this would be one of the worse trades as Bynum is the heart of the Lakers' defense, and he also has a terrific post-up game. This is probably the least likely trade to happen.

Nets' owner Mikhail Prokhorov said that the Melo' trade is becoming too rumored, and the rumors have affected the Nets. This deal involves Nuggets' guard Chauncey Billups as well as Melo to be traded for above five Nets' players. The Detroit Pistons would also be involved in the trade with the Nets. If Carmelo comes to the Nets this season, he won't have a shot at the playoffs which is a big deal for the aging guard.

And for the New York Knicks, which is Carmelo's most likely decision, they are rumored to have offered Wilson Chandler and a few other Rookie guards in return for Melo'. The Minnesota Timberwolves are also involved in this trade, they would receive Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry for handing the Denver Nuggets the first round pick.

After all is said and done, it's not like Melo' will live up to everybody's expectations. He does take ridiculous amount of shots on top of the fact that his shooting percentage is declining year by year. In my honest opinion, I think that the New York Knicks should save the money(they'll be paying Carmelo close to $25 million for the trade)and keep Wilson Chandler, a significant part of the New York Knicks, especially with the playoffs getting closer.
