2011-2012 NBA Season Lockout

With the declining economy in the United States, NBA players' salaries continue to decline as well.  The 2011-2012 season lockout has been talked about for a long time, and is not the first; there was another season lockout during the 1998-1999 season, having nearly half of the games cut that year.  The NBA All-Star game also did not occur that year because of the lockout.  Unless the players come to yet another Collective Bargaining Agreement, rumored to be sided with the owners of the teams, instead of the players, benefiting them with around 7% more, which is 7% less for the players.  President Obama is aware of the current situation, he experienced it first-hand by talking to Nuggets' guard Chauncey Billups.  Obviously the players in the NBA are not excited for the news, and are preparing for the lockout in the event that it is actually implemented for the second time in NBA history.
