Melo's Situation

With Carmelo Anthony, Nuggets' guard is currently being bombarded by the dilemma of choosing where to go...Will it be the Lakers? Nets? Knicks?

With the Lakers having allegedly offered Andrew Bynum, Lakers' center, for Carmelo Anthony in the trade, I think this would be one of the worse trades as Bynum is the heart of the Lakers' defense, and he also has a terrific post-up game. This is probably the least likely trade to happen.

Nets' owner Mikhail Prokhorov said that the Melo' trade is becoming too rumored, and the rumors have affected the Nets. This deal involves Nuggets' guard Chauncey Billups as well as Melo to be traded for above five Nets' players. The Detroit Pistons would also be involved in the trade with the Nets. If Carmelo comes to the Nets this season, he won't have a shot at the playoffs which is a big deal for the aging guard.

And for the New York Knicks, which is Carmelo's most likely decision, they are rumored to have offered Wilson Chandler and a few other Rookie guards in return for Melo'. The Minnesota Timberwolves are also involved in this trade, they would receive Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry for handing the Denver Nuggets the first round pick.

After all is said and done, it's not like Melo' will live up to everybody's expectations. He does take ridiculous amount of shots on top of the fact that his shooting percentage is declining year by year. In my honest opinion, I think that the New York Knicks should save the money(they'll be paying Carmelo close to $25 million for the trade)and keep Wilson Chandler, a significant part of the New York Knicks, especially with the playoffs getting closer.

The dunk contest is coming

This year's dunk all-stars are pretty sick dunkers.  Demar DeRozan has been working with professional dunkers, and the beast, the godfather of dunking Daryl Dawkins.  If any of you have seen Demar's dunks recently, he has a big shot this year.  Check out the boss smashing backboards

2011-2012 NBA Season Lockout

With the declining economy in the United States, NBA players' salaries continue to decline as well.  The 2011-2012 season lockout has been talked about for a long time, and is not the first; there was another season lockout during the 1998-1999 season, having nearly half of the games cut that year.  The NBA All-Star game also did not occur that year because of the lockout.  Unless the players come to yet another Collective Bargaining Agreement, rumored to be sided with the owners of the teams, instead of the players, benefiting them with around 7% more, which is 7% less for the players.  President Obama is aware of the current situation, he experienced it first-hand by talking to Nuggets' guard Chauncey Billups.  Obviously the players in the NBA are not excited for the news, and are preparing for the lockout in the event that it is actually implemented for the second time in NBA history.

Demarcus Cousins

This rookie out of Kentucky is playing up to his expectations this year on the Kings.  With about 14 points and almost 10 rebounds a game, Cousins has a long career ahead of him.  Playing at a High School in Alabama, Demarcus Cousins participated in the Mcdonald's All-American game before moving on to Kentucky with players like John Wall.  He has the brains and the body necessary to compete in the NBA, with a few years hard work, I think it won't be long until we see Cousins playing in the All-Star game.
The guy is respectable too, watch his mockery as a rookie!  What's there not to like about cousins?
